Needle Lace
Buttonhole stitches form the basic elements of all needle lace work. This diagram shows the work method for a single tulle stitch, suitable for groundwork in needle lace. The stitches can be made simple or with an extra twist, which creates a more open ground or filling. The next rows are built upon the first and by grouping these stitches in sets of two or three above the previous rows, many new fillings may be formed that will enhance the beauty of the needle lace. This lesson will be completed soon.
